About Us
Registered Charity CHY15011
Donegal Pet Rescue (DPR) was formed in the year 2000 to address the problem of unwanted, abandoned & neglected dogs & cats & to respond to issues of Animal Cruelty across County Donegal.
The charity is under the patronage of well known Donegal-born businessman Sir Gerry Robinson (pictured here with his dogs).
We are a voluntary, non-profit organisation, committed to the rescue & re-homing of dogs & cats.
We are also one of 200 organisations in 66 countries which are formally associated with the RSPCA International. All of these organisations share the aims of promoting animal welfare and preventing cruelty to animals. This enables us to receive advice, support & guidance from the RSPCA International. We do not receive funding from them.
We rely solely on the dedication & hard work of volunteers & heavily on public donations to fund our work.
As part of our fund-raising activities DPR has a vibrant social calendar with
events to suit everyone.
Events are advertised in local papers, local radio, here on our website
